Excellent report for Derby College

Ofsted inspectors have graded Derby College, home to over 24,000 students, as 'good' overall following its inspection in November, with their capacity to improve rated as outstanding.

Leicestershire forklift truck drivers Train to Gain at Brett Landscaping

The Train to Gain service in the East Midlands has engaged with around 5,000 employers in the period from August 2006 to December 2007. In this same period 26,141 learners have received training worth £24 million.

East Midlands 'STARs' collect awards

Two staff from East Midlands colleges - Bill Leivers from Loughborough College and Eddie Bedford from Leicester College were among more than 100 'STARs' of the further education system honoured at a glittering awards ceremony in November 2007.
